Wipro expands Google Cloud pact to scale Gemini AI across enterprises

BENGALURU, INDIA, and CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — Wipro announced a significant expansion of its longstanding partnership with Google Cloud to deploy the Gemini Enterprise AI platform across its global operations.
The IT services provider will also co-create and offer production-ready AI agents to joint enterprise customers, aiming to accelerate large-scale AI adoption.
“By deploying Gemini Enterprise at scale across our operations, we are deepening our partnership with Google Cloud to reimagine the future of work, and setting a global benchmark for responsible AI adoption,” said Sanjeev Jain, Chief Operations Officer (COO) at Wipro.
Wipro bets on multi-cloud, multi-hyperscaler AI
Wipro is aggressively pursuing a multi-hyperscaler AI strategy through a series of high-profile partnerships, positioning itself as a critical systems integrator that helps enterprises navigate a fragmented AI ecosystem.
These collaborations are highly specialized, combining Wipro’s consulting and industry expertise with its partners’ technologies. Its NVIDIA alliance targets Sovereign AI and government services, with a focus on data privacy and local languages.
At the same time, its Microsoft partnership aims to build industry-specific “Frontier Firms” using Copilot across thousands of employees.
This broad portfolio, which also includes an enterprise-scale platform developed with IBM’s WatsonX, is anchored by the company’s “Client Zero” approach, where Wipro first deploys and validates solutions like Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise internally before offering them to clients, aiming to move joint customers from experimental AI pilots to secure, production-ready solutions.
The company ranked #3 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies.
‘Client Zero’ uses Gemini to test enterprise AI at scale
Wipro’s deployment of Gemini Enterprise is framed as a critical internal testing phase under its “Client Zero” strategy.
The company is implementing the AI platform across core corporate functions—including finance, human resources, sales, delivery, and customer support—to validate its efficacy in improving operational efficiency, speeding up decision-making, and enhancing employee experience. This internal use serves as a proving ground before the solutions are offered to clients.
By implementing and validating AI solutions internally first, Wipro aims to set a benchmark for responsible AI adoption and create a tangible service model.
This approach positions Wipro Intelligence, the company’s AI suite, at the core of its own transformation, which it then leverages to guide client innovation. The strategy is designed to mitigate risk for enterprise customers by providing pre-vetted, scalable AI solutions.
Gemini Experience Zone showcases 200+ AI agents
The partnership is fundamentally a joint go-to-market initiative to move enterprises from pilot projects to scaled AI implementation. Wipro will integrate its industry and consulting expertise with the Wipro Intelligence suite and Gemini Enterprise to build secure, ready-to-use AI solutions for clients.
This effort is physically showcased at the new Google Cloud Gemini Experience Zone at Wipro’s Bengaluru campus, which features over 200 production-ready AI agents for key sectors.
The partnership targets various industries, such as healthcare, banking, insurance, retail, communications, and manufacturing.
Besides this, Wipro is also transitioning to multi-cloud AI and, in another three-year deal, is setting up a Microsoft Innovation Hub to jointly develop vertical AI applications in financial services, retail, and healthcare.
It can be recalled that Wipro’s acquisition of HARMAN’s Digital Transformation Solutions unit, a move previously telegraphed in talks with Warburg Pincus, strategically consolidates its portfolio and enables it to scale AI-powered engineering services for next-generation products aggressively.
This approach emphasizes comprehensive motivation to become a frontrunner in merging enterprise AI into the cloud. As Jain notes, this move “will drive efficiency, agility, and growth—positioning Wipro and our clients to lead the next wave of enterprise innovation.”
This goal is mirrored by Matt Renner, President and Chief Revenue Officer, Google Cloud, who said, “Through our expanded partnership, we are moving customers beyond experimental AI pilots to real-world outcomes, thereby delivering production-ready AI agents that create measurable business value.”
