EXL Service taps veteran Raghav Jaggi to lead insurance data, AI drive

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES —Global data and AI firm EXL Service has promoted two-decade company veteran Raghav Jaggi to Executive Vice President (EVP) and Insurance Practice Leader, in a strategic move underscoring its commitment to internal talent development.
Homegrown leadership: Jaggi’s 20-year journey to EVP
Jaggi’s career trajectory at EXL, beginning in 2003, exemplifies a growth path entirely within the organization. He progressed from helping build EXL’s core capabilities and serving as one of its first strategic account leaders for major global insurers to ultimately shaping the entire insurance practice.
This internal progression is highlighted by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rohit Kapoor, who stated the promotion reflects “the strength of EXL’s leadership bench and our commitment to developing talent within the organization.”
Vivek Jetley, EXL’s President of Insurance, Healthcare and Life Sciences, noted the promotion is validation of Jaggi’s “extraordinary journey at EXL and the lasting impact he has had on our clients, our people, and our culture.”
His two decades of increasing responsibility, building teams, and strengthening client relationships present a model of sustained contribution that the company explicitly values and rewards at the highest operational level, evidenced by his membership on the EXL Operating Committee.
Innovation through data and AI
The promotion solidifies the central role of data, AI, and digital innovation in EXL’s service offerings and client strategy for the insurance sector.
In his expanded role, Jaggi is tasked with helping global insurers accelerate growth specifically through digital transformation, intelligent operations, and data- and AI-led innovation.
His experience is deeply rooted in this technological shift, having played a pivotal role in leading the LifePRO technology platform for life and annuities and co-leading the global property and casualty business.
Jaggi’s influence extends beyond client work into fostering a culture of innovation within EXL itself.
As a recognized thought leader in data-driven decision making, he has been instrumental in the company’s innovation strategies. This has been operationalized through spearheading internal initiatives such as IdeaTank and EXL’s Venture Labs.
His leadership, therefore, represents a dual focus: directly guiding insurers’ transformative journeys while simultaneously ensuring EXL’s internal engine of innovation continues to develop cutting-edge solutions, thereby reinforcing the company’s position as a market leader in applying data and AI to the insurance industry.
EXL ranked #16 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies. The 2026 edition of the OA500 is expected to be released in March.
