G&A Partners acquires Ethan Allen HR, expands Northeast American reach

TEXAS and NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — G&A Partners, a Houston-based professional employer organization (PEO), has acquired Ethan Allen HR Services, an Ethan Allen WorkForce Solutions company and IRS-certified PEO, deepening its presence in Northeast America.
The deal expands G&A’s footprint in the Hudson Valley and bolsters its benefits portfolio and technological resources for small and mid-sized businesses.
Acquisition expands Northeast U.S. PEO network
Through this acquisition, G&A enhances its physical and operational presence in the areas where Ethan Allen has been serving customers for almost 35 years.
This expansion extends G&A’s Northeast reach and further introduces a tenured local service team with outstanding, decades-long client retention to the national network.
“We are also excited to broaden our benefits portfolio, adding a variety of Anthem group medical plans to our existing Aetna and Cigna offerings. This acquisition builds on our presence in the Northeast, where we’ve experienced remarkable success and growth,” said John Allen, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at G&A.
Furthermore, Ethan Allen’s client base will now gain access to G&A’s expanded HR technology suite and national-scale service infrastructure. As noted by Dean Domenico, Ethan Allen HR Services President, “This decision ensures our clients receive the best of both worlds — the same trusted team and service model, now strengthened by G&A’s resources.”
With this move, clients will receive a more localized, personalized service backed by the resources of an experienced PEO.
Scaling HR tech and seamless client transition
The transaction underscores the industry trend where regional PEOs align with national players to access greater resources. Domenico cited the need for “deeper infrastructure, advanced tools, and expanded support” to continue raising the bar for its clients.
This move by G&A provides the scale and technology base the company needs in its competitive human resources outsourcing market, enabling the newly formed company to serve more than 6,000 customers and 130,000 employees at its work sites across the country.
A critical component of the acquisition is the planned seamless transition for Ethan Allen’s existing clientele. Domenico will focus on ensuring clients transition smoothly to G&A’s platform while maintaining service continuity. Other Ethan Allen companies, like Ethan Allen Staffing and Ethan Allen Recruitment, will also be separated under the existing ownership.
This is a systematic strategy intended to preserve the credible advisor relationships Ethan Allen had built, as it incorporates clients into a wider support network.
