AROBS buys Quest Global Romania in all‑equity share deal

CLUJ-NAPOCA and CRAIOVA, ROMANIA — AROBS Transilvania Software, a technology firm listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, has announced the acquisition of Quest Global Romania, merging its 110-strong engineering team into the group.
The acquisition marks the company’s first in which full consideration is paid in equity since shifting its M&A strategy following its 2023 main market listing and is expected to close in the first half of the year.
AROBS pivots to equity‑driven M&A growth
This acquisition represents a deliberate shift in AROBS’s expansion strategy, leveraging its market position to drive growth.
The transaction is being settled entirely through the issuance of new AROBS shares, which are subject to a one-year lock-up period.
The equity-based approach underscores a mature phase in AROBS’s corporate development, leveraging its publicly traded status to integrate new assets.
This method follows a broader growth strategy that includes raising capital from institutional investors specifically for wider M&A activity.
The integration of Quest Global Romania’s financial results into the AROBS Group post-closing will further consolidate the parent company’s market footprint and operational scale.
Voicu Oprean, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AROBS, notes, “Financing the transaction exclusively through our own equity reflects the alignment of interests and shared confidence in the Group’s long-term growth prospects.”
“This step marks the welcoming of a new strategic shareholder and the beginning of a strong partnership rooted in a shared belief in the value of working together for the long term.”
Deal boosts software engineering depth for global clients
The move significantly deepens AROBS’s portfolio of specialized engineering services, enhancing its appeal to international enterprise clients.
AROBS Transilvania Software was established in 1998, leveraging over 25 years of software engineering expertise to deliver high-quality, agile development services. This deep-rooted legacy now converges with advanced AI capabilities.
Quest Global Romania is a part of Quest Global, which provides outsourced engineering services. They bring expertise in integrated software development, testing and validation, design, mobile and embedded solutions, and IT consulting for industries including IT and data, automotive, healthcare, semiconductors, oil and gas, and software.
“Integrating this team enables us to take on more complex projects and to build long-term relationships with global clients, including those operating in industries with high technical and operational requirements,” said Oprean.
This purchase is part of AROBS’s concerted drive to establish a multi-industry software engineering. It comes after 2025 acquisitions, including SVT Electronics, the United States-based Codingscape, and Gess Engineering, which will form operational collaboration and other capabilities that can be applied.
Moreover, AROBS and World Quest Global Group would be engaged in delivering complex international projects from Romania to win and service larger contracts by leveraging synergistic industry exposure and global coverage.
Quest Global Romania General Manager Ana-Maria Vasilescu and her team will retain their leadership roles, preserving vital domain knowledge and client relationships.
“Together, we will be able to better serve our clients with an expanded set of engineering capabilities in Romania and also provide better growth opportunities for employees,” said Ajit Prabhju, Co-founder and CEO of Quest Global.
