ElevatePFS buys Centauri unit to boost U.S. healthcare billing

TEXAS and ARIZONA, UNITED STATES — Elevate Patient Financial Solutions, a revenue cycle management (RCM) provider, has completed the carve-out acquisition of Centauri Health Solutions’ Health Systems Services division (Centauri HSS), significantly expanding its suite of complex RCM services. 

The strategic move, the terms of which were not disclosed, brings specialized capabilities in Medicaid and disability enrollment, as well as out-of-state billing, under the ElevatePFS umbrella.

Expanding healthcare revenue cycle management services

The purchase of Centauri HSS is a specific move by ElevatePFS to enhance its mastery of the most demanding field of healthcare reimbursement. 

Centauri HSS focuses on eligibility and enrollment for Medicaid and disability benefits, as well as the intricate billing for out-of-state Medicaid claims.

By integrating this division, ElevatePFS tackles two major pain points of health systems: minimizing uncompensated care and overcoming the complex maze of state-specific regulations. 

This step enables ElevatePFS to provide a more holistic product to its customers. As Shea notes, “By acquiring the HSS division from Centauri, we are bringing together a powerful team and a more comprehensive set of tools to help our clients navigate increasingly complex revenue cycle challenges.”
