TLM buys SimplyPHP to boost North America PHP talent
QUEBEC, CANADA — Canadian outsourced technology product development firm TLM has acquired SimplyPHP, a fellow Canadian provider of senior PHP development and staff augmentation services, to bolster its North American presence.
Tequity Advisors, a specialized M&A advisory firm focused on enterprise business-to-business (B2B) technology, served as the exclusive financial advisor to SimplyPHP on the transaction.
TLM targets PHP staff augmentation, product growth
SimplyPHP, founded by Tony Capozzi and Raph Leroux in 2010, has built a substantial reputation by focusing on PHP-related software, enabling it to establish a Center of Excellence with more than 40 in-house professionals.
The company is known for providing a variety of services to its clients, including PHP developers for new development projects or staff augmentation, maintenance services, project rescue services, and custom maintenance plans that include a guarantee of upkeep.
Through the acquisition of such a talent pool, TLM, a technology team that designs, funds, and develops digital consumer products, seeks to solidify its presence and expand it in North America.
Bhaskor Guha, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SimplyPHP and Vice President at TLM, stressed the cooperative nature of the deal.
He stated that the goal is for SimplyPHP to continue playing its full role and growing. “Together, we will build on the strong foundation already in place and expand the capabilities available to clients,” he adds.
SimplyPHP to operate independently under TLM ownership
Both SimplyPHP and TLM will continue to operate independently so that the day-to-day client experience and internal culture are not disrupted.
The acquisition structure retains the management team and employees of SimplyPHP, and two of the co-founders, Capozzi and Leroux, will remain with the company over the next few months to ensure a seamless transition.

The acquisition of SimplyPHP by TLM strengthens the latter’s foothold in North America, strategically expanding its technological capabilities while preserving operational independence and client trust.
