Accenture acquires Keepler to expand AI and data capabilities

DUBLIN, IRELAND and MADRID, SPAIN — Accenture has moved to strengthen its artificial intelligence (AI) and data services portfolio with the acquisition of Spain-based Keepler Data Tech, a cloud-native AI company, as global consulting firms race to scale enterprise AI capabilities across industries.
According to a report from Staffing Industry, the deal underscores the accelerating push among IT services giants to embed AI deeper into business transformation strategies.
Strategic push to scale AI-driven reinvention
Accenture, the world’s largest IT services provider, confirmed it has acquired Keepler Data Tech, a Spanish firm specializing in cloud-native AI and data solutions. The financial terms were not disclosed, including the stake previously held by private equity investor DTCP.
According to the company, the acquisition is designed to enhance its ability to support digital reinvention across industries.
Accenture said the deal will “help clients across industries reinvent their core business processes with AI solutions grounded in strong data foundations”.
Founded in 2018, Keepler delivers end-to-end AI and data services, spanning data strategy, cloud-native infrastructure, advanced analytics, and the deployment of generative and agentic AI systems.
The company also emphasizes governance, ethics, and observability in AI deployment, positioning itself in the growing market for responsible AI implementation.
Expanding end-to-end AI and data capabilities
Keepler’s model focuses on helping enterprises modernize data architectures and scale machine learning operations to drive automation and decision-making.
Its capabilities are intended to embed intelligence directly into core business processes, enabling companies to move from experimentation to full-scale AI adoption.
Accenture highlighted that the acquisition is part of a broader investment strategy aimed at accelerating enterprise transformation.
The company has been actively expanding its AI capabilities through a series of acquisitions, including Faculty, NeuraFlash, Halfspace, and other specialist firms in data and AI consulting.
“Technology is evolving at extraordinary speed and AI and data are now central to how companies reinvent their businesses, stay competitive and improve their resilience in the current context,” said Mercedes Oblanca, market unit lead for Spain and Portugal at Accenture, commenting on the deal.
Adding that the acquisition strengthens its “end-to-end AI and data capabilities as well as our agentic AI solutions.”
“By joining Accenture, we accelerate that mission. Together, we will further scale our solutions and drive innovation to clients across Spain and EMEA,” said Juan María Aramburu, Keepler CEO, emphasizing that the partnership will accelerate the company’s mission.
Outsourcing and the AI transformation wave
The acquisition reflects a broader shift in the global outsourcing and IT services industry, where providers are rapidly repositioning themselves as AI-first transformation partners rather than traditional service vendors.
As enterprises demand more integrated data and AI solutions, firms like Accenture are building scale through targeted acquisitions of niche specialists.
This consolidation trend is expected to intensify, with AI capabilities becoming a core differentiator in outsourcing contracts and long-term enterprise partnerships, particularly across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
