HR Path acquires GDT Brasil to expand HR consulting in Brazil

PARIS, FRANCE AND SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL — HR Path, a global HR consulting and HRIS solutions firm, has acquired Brazilian management and strategy consultancy GDT Brasil in a move designed to deepen its footprint across Latin America‘s largest economy and broaden its HR transformation capabilities.
According to a company press release, the deal marks HR Path‘s second major Brazilian acquisition in as many years, following its 2024 purchase of Intelligenza.
Together, the transactions give the Paris-founded firm full nationwide coverage in Brazil and reinforce its ambition to become a global reference point in HR transformation services.
Founded in 2001, HR Path operates in 29 countries with more than 2,600 professionals, providing advisory, implementation, and operational services to businesses navigating complex human resources challenges.
GDT Brasil, established in 2003, specializes in change management, corporate education, leadership development, and people-centered business transformation, with a reputation built on proprietary methodologies and a high-seniority delivery model.
A strategic fit for HR transformation
According to the companies, GDT Brasil’s focus on connecting behavior, culture, and leadership to business performance complements HR Path’s broader consulting and technology portfolio.
Ricardo, Partner and CEO at HR Path Brazil, said the acquisition advances the firm’s long-term vision for the region.
“The acquisition of GDT Brasil, a company renowned for its expertise in HR consulting and change management, is a strategic move that supports our ambition to be the global reference in HR transformation,” Ricardo said.
“In 2024, Intelligenza joined HR Path with the same purpose, and now we are combining forces with GDT Brasil’s deep knowledge and strong client relationships, further complementing our global capabilities and enabling us to deliver even greater value to our clientsk,” Ricardo added.
Continuity for clients and leadership
GDT Brasil will continue operating under the brand “GDT Brasil, an HR Path Company,” with its current leadership team and staff remaining in place to ensure continuity of service.
Founder Edson Carli described the transaction as a new chapter rather than a departure from the firm’s founding principles.
“We are very excited about this new chapter,” Carli said.
“Joining HR Path creates a powerful opportunity to expand our impact while remaining true to the principles that have guided GDT since its founding: putting people at the center of transformation, connecting human capital to business value, and empowering clients through meaningful knowledge transfer,” Carli added.
Brazil emerges as key growth hub for HR consolidation
The acquisition reflects a broader consolidation trend sweeping the HR services and outsourcing industry, as global consultancies race to assemble integrated platforms that blend technology implementation, advisory work, and change management.
Brazil, with its vast enterprise market and growing appetite for digital HR transformation, has become a particularly active battleground.
For providers like HR Path, building regional depth through targeted acquisitions offers a faster path to scale than organic expansion, while giving clients access to the local expertise and cultural fluency that global playbooks alone cannot deliver.
