Remotify named among Founder Institute's 50 fastest-growing startups

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Remotify, a Philippines-based Employer of Record (EOR) platform, has been named to Founder Institute’s FI 50: Fastest Growing Companies of 2026 — a global list recognizing 50 high-growth startups across 32 countries and six continents for exceptional performance during 2025–2026.

The recognition places Remotify within an accelerator network that has backed more than 9,000 entrepreneurs and seen alumni collectively raise over US$2 billion in funding since 2009.

Philippines EOR platform earns global startup recognition

Remotify was built to solve a specific compliance problem: international companies that want to hire Filipino talent without establishing a local legal entity. The platform handles compliant payroll, HR administration, and workforce management, acting as the legal employer of record on behalf of its clients and removing the cost and regulatory burden of direct entity setup in the Philippines.

The FI 50 placement reflects a broader market shift: for international employers building Philippine offshore teams, compliance-first EOR platforms are becoming the preferred infrastructure over DIY entity setup or informal contractor arrangements.

“Over the past few years, we’ve been quietly working alongside founders, clients, and talented professionals across the Philippines to prove exactly that — creating pathways for Filipino professionals to build meaningful careers with global companies,” said Maria Sucgang, Co-Founder and CEO of Remotify.

Bootstrapped Filipino EOR reaches $2.2Mn in annual transactions

Remotify now manages over $2.2 million in annual transactions — a milestone reached as a bootstrapped company with a globally distributed client base and no external funding.

The company’s client base spans international businesses seeking compliant access to Filipino talent, a market that has grown alongside the  Philippines’ IT-BPM sector and the global expansion of distributed offshore teams.

Sucgang credited Founder Institute’s mentorship network as a meaningful resource during Remotify’s early stages, and framed the recognition as belonging equally to the company’s team, clients, and the Filipino professionals the platform supports.

For international employers expanding into the Philippines, EOR platforms are becoming the structural alternative to BPO-mediated labor access — delivering direct workforce relationships at lower overhead than entity setup and lower risk than informal contractor arrangements.

“Looking through the FI 50 list is incredibly inspiring. Founders from all over the world are solving real problems in their own communities — from fintech to EV manufacturing to AI tools — and turning those solutions into global businesses,” Sucgang said.

As international companies continue building distributed teams in the Philippines, the compliance layer EOR platforms provide is becoming structural rather than optional — employers are increasingly seeking direct, EOR-enabled hiring relationships that deliver workforce control without entity overhead.

For the Philippine BPO ecosystem, that shift is both a competitive pressure and a referral opportunity, as organizations that first encounter Filipino talent through BPO often move toward EOR for functions requiring direct employment relationships.
