Aboitiz Group launches data exchange platform Parlay

Cebu-based diversified conglomerate Aboitiz Group, with its data science and AI (DSAI) unit Aboitiz Data Innovation (ADI), announced the launch of a new data exchange platform called Parlay.
In a statement, the group explained that Parlay would give businesses “unparalleled access to data sets from some of the region’s largest corporations to inspire possibilities for creating new opportunities or tackling business challenges.”
Essentially, Parlay can help businesses find solutions to various issues — including from financial inclusion and emissions reduction — by comparing and exploring data from other sectors to solve problems.
ADI Managing Director David Hardoon pointed out their goal for Parlay users “to engage with data of all kinds and leave inspired to do everything from creating new products and services to rethinking business models and ways of working to tackling challenges that can improve people’s lives,.”
ADI aims to simplify the complex world of data to advance the over 100-year-old company’s digital transformation journey by operationalizing DSAI across all business units.
This move is part of Aboitiz’s “Great Transformation” plans that would help keep the company more resilient and future-ready to respond to challenges and capture opportunities and growth in an increasingly digital world.
