Accenture acquires ATI, boosts Australian operations

PERTH, AUSTRALIA — Global professional services giant Accenture has announced its acquisition of Perth-based ATI Solutions Group (ATI), a prominent consulting service catering to the mining, energy, and rail sectors.
The strategic move aims to boost Accenture’s digital and industrial capabilities in West Australia, a region experiencing surging demand for specialized talents in these sectors.
Renowned for its operational technology (OT) proficiency, ATI streamlines automation for mines and rail networks, designs smart maintenance workflows, analyzes field data, and optimizes overall operations.
Their adeptness in integrating OT with enterprise IT systems facilitates companies in rapidly identifying operational glitches and enhances automation efficiency.
“Digital technology and automation in operations are a pivotal part of how leading asset-intensive companies drive value in their front-line operations. ATI’s long-standing expertise strengthens our capability to support our clients in these critical areas,” said Steven Walsh, Industry X lead for Accenture in Australia and NZ.
Pete Burns, who helms Accenture’s business in Australia and New Zealand, highlighted the acquisition as a testament to Accenture’s continued commitment to the West Australian market.
Upon completion of the acquisition, approximately 60 ATI employees and contractors across Australia will be integrated into Accenture’s digital engineering and manufacturing service, Industry X.
This move follows Accenture’s 2021 purchase of Perth’s OT service provider Electro 80 and represents its continued growth in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
Accenture, which topped the Time Doctor OA500, has a market cap of $213.18 billion. In 2022, it generated $61.59 billion in revenue.
