Accenture acquires ClearEdge Partners

Multinational professional services company Accenture announced their recent acquisition of IT procurement specialist ClearEdge Partners.
ClearEdge’s specialty consulting expertise will help Accenture control its IT spending as digital transformation drives “ballooning budgets” in the sector.
Accenture will add ClearEdge’s employees to its operations business to help provide clients with optimized finance operations, sourcing and procurement, supply chain, sales and marketing, and talent and HR, among other areas.
Accenture Operations group chief executive Manish Sharma said that adding ClearEdge to the company will add “significant IT category expertise” in their future procurements and client service value.
ClearEdge Co-Founder and CEO Jack Garrahan added that this partnership will accelerate their goals and enable the company to have an “even bigger impact.”
Accenture is one of the largest management and technology consulting firms in the world. It employs over 624,000 individuals across more than 120 countries and earns US$50.53 billion in annual revenue.
