DUBLIN, IRELAND, and TOKYO, JAPAN — Accenture has completed the acquisition of Aidemy Inc., a Tokyo-based AI and digital transformation company, to strengthen its LearnVantage service.

According to Accenture’s press release, the acquisition will enhance Accenture’s capabilities in talent development and AI system integration, enabling clients to leverage generative AI for enterprise reinvention and workforce reskilling.

Accenture finalizes Aidemy acquisition to expand AI services

Accenture, a global professional services provider with approximately 779,000 staff, has helped clients build their digital core and create tangible value. With a revenue base of over $64 billion and a comprehensive portfolio encompassing strategy, technology, and operations, Accenture continues to strengthen its market position through strategic acquisitions

It is this very strategy that brings SI&C Co. into the fold, a Tokyo-based firm with approximately 1,500 professionals specializing in system integration and consulting. The acquisition of SI&C is not merely an expansion of headcount but a deliberate move to deepen Accenture’s local expertise in delivering data-driven business transformation across the Japanese enterprise landscape.

Accenture ranked #2 in OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s 500 top outsourcing companies.

On the other hand, since its founding in 2014, Aidemy has specialized in making advanced AI and digital transformation accessible. The company serves corporate clients with a dual offering: ‘AI/DX Products’ for online training and AI/DX solutions for implementation consulting.

For individual learners, it provides AI/DX reskilling programs in AI programming and data analysis. Through this comprehensive approach, Aidemy represents the essential, growing ecosystem of firms enabling technological adoption.

Deal strengthens LearnVantage for global workforce reskilling

Accenture’s acquisition of Aidemy is designed to enhance its LearnVantage platform, which supports clients’ talent development and reskilling needs. Aidemy has expertise in areas such as GenAI, data analysis, and organizational transformation consulting.

“There is a growing demand among companies to rapidly drive comprehensive total enterprise reinvention utilizing cutting-edge technologies, including generative AI,” said Atsushi Egawa, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Accenture Japan, and Co-CEO of Asia-Pacific.

“To ensure the success of such transformations, it is essential not only to redefine ways of working and skills based on digital and AI utilization, but also to focus on talent development and redeployment,” he explained.

The integration of the Aidemy team and its knowledge into Accenture’s operations will enable a more efficient response to the increasing need for AI-driven business reinvention, providing customers with a comprehensive solution for talent development and the implementation of AI-based systems.

With approximately 130 professionals from Aidemy joining Accenture, the company is now better equipped to guide clients through AI adoption and workforce reskilling efforts.

AI-driven transformation in response to industry demand

With Accenture leveraging its global presence and Aidemy utilizing AI and digital transformation capabilities, the acquisition is expected to enable clients to maximize the value of their workforces and stay ahead in an increasingly technological market.

“We will strengthen reskilling, which can be utilized in on-the-job activities and provide support for organizational adoption, which in turn will accelerate companies’ processes for incorporating AI, generative AI, and other advanced technologies into their businesses,” noted Akihiko Ishikawa, President of Aidemy.

The acquisition is part of Accenture’s broader strategy in response to the rapid pace of change in the labor market. According to a recent survey conducted by the World Economic Forum, 39% of workers’ skill sets are expected to become outdated or require transformation by 2030.

To maintain its lead, Accenture is making massive investments in talent development, and its LearnVantage service reskills and upskills its employees worldwide.

“We will accelerate efforts to strengthen the competitiveness and talent development of leading companies in Japan and around the world, and contribute to the digitalization of society,” Ishikawa assures.

Aidemy brings Accenture to the forefront of the AI talent development and organizational change sector, ensuring the competitiveness and sustainability of its clients.
