Accenture acquires UK firm Decho to scale Palantir, GenAI services

DUBLIN, IRELAND, and SURREY, ENGLAND — Accenture has acquired Decho, a United Kingdom-based technology and AI consultancy specializing in Palantir solutions.
In the company’s press release, the strategic move significantly enhances Accenture’s capabilities to design, deliver, and scale enterprise AI projects for clients across various sectors.
Global reach, niche AI insight
Accenture is a provider of professional services worldwide with over 700,000 employees that assists the most successful enterprises in reinventing their operations by developing a digital core and unleashing the power of AI.
The company pushes AI-enabled, client-centered reinvention, delivering value through capabilities in planning, consulting, and technology. This extensive global footprint and broad service offering provide the ideal foundation for integrating highly specialized expertise.
Accenture ranked #2 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies.
On the other hand, Decho is a UK-based technology and AI consultancy founded by experts with experience working on critical problems for governments, manufacturers, and utilities using Palantir software.
The company operates as a Palantir strategic alliance partner, offering strategic advisory, engineering delivery, and digital enablement to support its mission to deploy Palantir Foundry, Gotham, and AIP to transition AI projects to production quickly.
Strengthening Palantir and GenAI operations
By integrating Decho’s deep expertise in platform deployment and data model design, Accenture gains specialized skills required to operationalize Palantir’s Foundry and Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) for complex client needs.
“Gen AI has enormous potential but needs the right platform and expertise to deliver real outcomes,” said Bryan Rich, Accenture’s Global Data and AI Lead for Health and Public Service.
“Decho is uniquely positioned to provide capabilities required in the most demanding industries with their combined Palantir and GenAI expertise, strong ecosystem relationships, and proprietary products.”
The integration of over 40 specialist Decho engineers into Accenture’s Data and AI organization creates a combined force aimed at helping clients realize the full value of their architecture, data, and software.
This fusion is designed to address an urgent market need for expertise in leading-edge Palantir technologies, particularly for transformative solutions in demanding industries.
The move underscores Accenture’s commitment to leveraging Palantir’s software to scale generative AI solutions and create a competitive advantage for its clients.
Driving AI innovation in key sectors
The acquisition is sharply focused on delivering AI-driven transformation within the most critical and complex industry sectors.
Accenture specifically focused on Decho due to its competencies in health, government, defense, and commercial fields, where the risk of profound failure in AI implementation is particularly significant.
“Our acquisition of Decho helps our public and commercial sector clients gain data and AI advantage to meet their critical objectives and reinvent their operations with more transparency and resilience,” Rich notes.
Beyond innovation, the acquisition will also offer transparency and resilience, enabling it to serve its clients best. This industry specialization enables companies in these industries to derive critical data and AI benefits that support their core goals.
The combination is intended to help clients integrate GenAI where it matters most, driving tangible and enduring outcomes in operations.
“Together, we’ll help organizations realize the full value of their architecture, data, and AI — from national health systems to critical infrastructure — combining advanced technology with human ingenuity to drive real outcomes for citizens and communities,” Matt Prebble, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Accenture United Kingdom, Ireland & Africa, notes in his LinkedIn post.
