Accenture buys Ascendient Learning to boost tech training capabilities

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Outsourcing giant Accenture has acquired Ascendient Learning, a North American provider of IT and digital skills training, to expand its instructor-led training and certification services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The merger brings nearly 75 Ascendient professionals into Accenture’s LearnVantage business, enhancing the company’s ability to provide live, customized training to organizations seeking to upskill and reskill their workforces in the rapidly evolving technology landscape.

Strategic impact and client benefits

The acquisition allows Accenture to offer an expanded suite of instructor-led training and industry-recognized certifications.

“One of the biggest challenges our clients face is keeping pace with accelerating technology and maintaining an agile and skilled workforce. Ascendient Learning’s deep expertise in IT and digital instructor-led training and certifications, combined with our global reach and industry experience, greatly enhances our ability to deliver transformative learning solutions to our clients at scale,” said Kishore Durg, global lead of Accenture LearnVantage.

“This acquisition supports our vision to be the leader in the enterprise learning space by providing organizations with the expertise, tools and resources they need to thrive in the digital age.”

Clients will benefit from:

  • Enhanced instructor-led training, both in-person and virtual
  • Broader access to certifications from leading technology providers
  • Customizable upskilling and reskilling programs tailored to evolving business needs

Tim Toomey, CEO of Ascendient Learning, added, “Together, we will continue to deliver exceptional training experiences and empower individuals and teams to achieve their full potential.”
