Accenture expands healthcare consulting in DACH region with consus.health buy

FREIBURG, GERMANY — Outsourcing giant Accenture has announced its acquisition of consus.health, a German healthcare management consultancy.
This strategic move aims to strengthen Accenture’s healthcare consulting capabilities in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (collectively known as DACH countries).
While the financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions.
Strengthening healthcare solutions
The acquisition of consus.health is part of Accenture’s broader strategy to strengthen its position in the healthcare sector.
By integrating consus.health’s expertise in revenue and cost management, process optimization, and hospital management, Accenture aims to provide more comprehensive solutions to its clients.

As part of the acquisition, Nikolic will lead Accenture’s Health Strategy & Consulting practice in Austria, Switzerland, and Germany, focusing on building and growing the health provider business.
Expanding Accenture’s healthcare portfolio

Founded in 2012, consus.health has established a strong presence in the German market, serving over 600 healthcare providers and hospitals. The company offers a wide range of services, including medical strategy, patient management, procurement, logistics, infrastructure management, and construction planning.
With a team of 140 experts based in Freiburg im Breisgau, consus.health has built a reputation for improving the financial and operational performance of its clients.
The acquisition of consus.health follows Accenture’s purchase of other healthcare firms, including Intellera Consulting, ConcentricLife, and Nautilus Consulting.
