Accenture fortifies customer analytics with GemSeek acquisition

SOFIA, BULGARIA — Business process outsourcing (BPO) company Accenture is set to acquire customer analytics services firm GemSeek.
The acquisition will be coursed through Accenture Song, the BPO’s digital agency arm.
As part of the deal, GemSeek’s over 170 employees across Bulgaria and the United Kingdom will join Accenture Song. This will strengthen GemSeek’s presence in Europe and expand its client base to the Middle East and Africa.
Additionally, GemSeek employees will be the pioneering team for Accenture Song in Bulgaria, alongside the existing workforce of 1,100 people from Accenture’s Advanced Technology and Intelligent Operations Centers.
“Within GemSeek we found a team of like-minded thinkers, aligned with our purpose to provide clients with means to understand their customers’ needs better, and define new ways of engagement that will drive growth during these times of change,” said Max Morielli, president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, for Accenture Song.
GemSeek was founded in 2011 and aids businesses in understanding consumer behavior through insights, analytics, and artificial intelligence-powered predictive models. It serves clients from telecommunications, healthcare, consumer goods, and financial services.
Accenture ranked #1 in the 2023 Time Doctor OA500, the first objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies. The 2024 edition of the OA500 will be released this month.
