Accenture’s seasoned executives take on new roles

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Outsourcing giant Accenture has announced key leadership changes to drive its long-term growth strategy.
The company, which offers a range of services, including digital, cloud, and security solutions across multiple industries, is positioning itself to lead “reinvention with our clients” in the age of artificial intelligence (AI).
New roles for seasoned executives of Accenture
Among the notable appointments, Angie Park, formerly the Head of Investor Relations, will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer on December 1, 2024, succeeding the retiring KC McClure after 36 years with the company.
Mauro Macchi, currently leading Accenture’s Italy, Central Europe, and Greece (ICEG) Market Unit, will become the Chief Executive Officer for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) on September 1, 2024, taking over from Jean-Marc Ollagnier, who will transition to the role of Chair, EMEA.
Angela Beatty, Accenture’s global lead for Talent, Rewards, and Employee Experience, will step into the Chief Leadership and Human Resources Officer position on September 1, 2024. She will succeed the retiring Ellyn Shook after her 36-year tenure.
Strengthening technology and innovation of Accenture
In technology leadership, Karthik Narain will expand his role to include Chief Technology Officer while maintaining his position as Group Chief Executive, Technology. Bhaskar Ghosh will take on a dual role as Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, building on his current position as Chief Strategy Officer. Both appointments will be effective from September 1, 2024.
Additionally, Atsushi Egawa and Ryoji Sekido will become co-CEOs of the Asia Pacific region as of September 1, 2024. This move aligns with Accenture’s strategy to fortify its presence in the Asia Pacific market through an evolution of the company’s Growth Model into three major markets: The Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific.
In a statement, Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture, expressed confidence in the reshuffled leadership, stating, “I am excited to announce the appointment of these exceptional leaders, each of whom brings deep experience at Accenture and has been at the center of our strategy to lead reinvention with our clients.”
