Accenture, Mandiant join forces against cyber threats

NEW YORK and CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — Outsourcing giant Accenture and Google-owned cybersecurity firm Mandiant have teamed up to safeguard enterprises against cyber threats.
The two firms aim to deliver comprehensive cyber resilience services, enabling organizations to detect, investigate, respond to, and recover from cyberattacks more efficiently.
Under the agreement, Accenture will leverage Mandiant’s Threat Intelligence platform and expertise within its Cyber Resilience services.
This collaboration will enable organizations to identify and mitigate cyber risks proactively, minimizing potential disruptions to their operations.
Over the next five years, the two firms will provide the organization with cybersecurity services, including Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Incident Response and Remediation services, and generative AI-embedded capabilities.
Majority of CEOs want protection against cyber attacks
According to Accenture’s Cyber-Resilient CEO report, 74% of CEOs are concerned about their organizations’ ability to stave off or minimize damage from a cyberattack.
“With the rising volume and velocity of cyberattacks, effective management of a destructive cyber event hinges on having a dedicated 24/7 global team of highly skilled responders and a well-defined operational process,” said Robert Boyce, Global Cyber Resilience lead, Accenture.
Accenture and Mandiant are currently assisting a major public sector organization in the Netherlands in improving its cybersecurity operations.
“End to end incident response and curated cyber threat intelligence services are essential for organizations to protect their data and assets from cyberattacks, said Cathy Huang, Research Director, Worldwide Security Services, IDC.
Accenture’s cybersecurity acquisition strategy
