Accenture expands private equity offerings with Impendi acquisition

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Outsourcing company Accenture has acquired Impendi, a sourcing and procurement services provider with a focus on private equity clients.
Founded in 2014, Impendi aids private equity firms with sourcing and procurement-related deals. Impendi’s procurement analytics enable their clients to track cash flow, identify savings opportunities, and improve supplier diversity, among others.
“By joining our Sourcing and Procurement practice, Impendi can help bring the full breadth of our third-party cost reduction and procurement transformation capabilities – from advisory to technology and managed services – to private equity clients and their portfolio companies,” said Jack Azagury, group chief executive for Strategy & Consulting at Accenture.
Impendi’s capabilities will complement Accenture’s current service offerings for private equity firms. These include analytics, digital, growth, operations, and technology, including rapid IT diagnostics, cloud migration, and managed services like cyber security.
Over the last two years, Accenture has beefed up the leadership of its private equity offerings. The outsourcing company appointed Jay Scanlan as Senior Managing Director – Global Lead, Private Equity in September 2022; Brian Crandall as Senior Managing Director, Global Private Equity in April 2022; Bleuzenn Pech de Pluvinel as Managing Director – Private Equity in August 2022; and Bob Wilson as Managing Director – Private Equity in September 2022.
The private equity team is also joined by Ramnath Venkataraman, who has been with Accenture for almost three decades.
Accenture ranked #1 in the 2023 Time Doctor OA500, the first objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies. The 2024 edition of the OA500 will be released next month.
