Accenture, TELUS team up to develop next-gen entertainment

DUBLIN, IRELAND — IT giant Accenture is working with telecommunications company TELUS to boost the latter’s television (TV) and digital life businesses.
Leveraging Accenture’s solutions and experience in TV software systems, TELUS aims to transform its TV business into a more efficient, agile, and digitally skilled organization.
“Starting on a reinvention path requires a new mindset. It is a chance to reimagine how companies do things,” said Accenture Managing Director Andrew Marchant.
TELUS has recently launched a new TV and OTT content platform in collaboration with Accenture. This innovative platform is being rolled out in phases and is designed to be accessible on any device at anytime. The platform’s future capabilities include incorporating technology such as 5G, the Internet of Things (IOT), and intelligent automation.
TELUS boasts an impressive annual revenue of US$18 billion and a huge customer base of 18 million.
Accenture has secured the top spot in the Time Doctor OA500, the world’s first objective index of the top 500 outsourcing companies. Accenture is a global leader in the professional service industry with clients in over 120 countries and 738,000 employees.
