Accenture to close operations in Russia

Multinational professional services company Accenture recently announced that it will discontinue doing business in Russia as a result of its continued attacks on Ukraine.
The IT giant has 2,300 employees in Russia as well as a global innovation lab called ‘Future Camp,’ which opened in Moscow in 2018.
In a statement, the company said that they stand “with the people of Ukraine, governments, companies, and individuals around the world calling for the immediate end to the unlawful and horrific attack on the people of Ukraine and their freedom.”
Moreover, Accenture has pledged to give $5 million to relief organizations working to help Ukrainian citizens as well as those seeking refuge in neighboring countries and beyond. Additionally, it is matching 100% of Accenture employee donations.
Accenture promised to provide support to its former Russian employees.
