Access Healthcare boosts patient engagement with Envera Health acquisition

TEXAS, UNITED STATES — Dallas-based Access Healthcare, a global provider of revenue cycle management services, has acquired Envera Health, a Virginia-based patient engagement services company, for $31.6 million.
The acquisition enhances Access Healthcare’s end-to-end revenue cycle capabilities with improved patient engagement services and technology.
Access Healthcare offers revenue cycle management services to healthcare providers globally, including medical billing, coding, and accounts receivable management. It has over 27,000 employees across 19 sites in the United States, India, and the Philippines.
Envera Health provides technology-enabled patient engagement services to strengthen health systems and physician practices. The company has around 200 employees.
By combining Envera’s technology-enabled patient engagement solutions with Access Healthcare’s innovative revenue cycle management services and deep healthcare industry expertise, the companies aim to deliver improved patient experiences and outcomes for healthcare clients.

The acquisition comes at a time when healthcare providers are increasingly focused on improving patient engagement and experiences to drive better health outcomes.
Access Healthcare is a much larger company supporting over 400,000 healthcare providers and processing over $70 billion of accounts receivable annually. Its annual revenue is estimated to range between $100 million and $500 million.
Envera Health is a younger growth-stage company focused on patient engagement solutions with around 200 employees. Its estimated annual revenue is currently $57.5 million.
