Acclime acquires FocusCore in Cambodia, Laos to grow ASEAN reach

QUEENSWAY, HONG KONG — Acclime has acquired the FocusCore and Payroll & Outsourcing (P&O) operations in Cambodia and Laos, the corporate services provider announced, with the businesses set to be rebranded as Acclime Cambodia and Acclime Laos effective May 4.
According to a company press release, the deal extends Acclime’s footprint across two of Southeast Asia’s fastest-developing economies and reinforces its strategy of building a unified ASEAN platform for cross-border clients.
FocusCore’s operations outside Cambodia and Laos will continue independently and are not part of the transaction.
Building a regional platform across ASEAN
The Cambodia operations bring established teams with strong capabilities in corporate services, payroll, and regulatory compliance, while the Laos acquisition extends Acclime’s reach into a growing market with rising cross-border demand.
All client-facing teams remain in place, preserving continuity for existing clients while connecting them to a broader regional infrastructure that spans Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
Cambodia clients also gain access to a larger ISO-aligned operational platform alongside expanded expertise in tax, licensing, compliance, payroll, and corporate services.
“These acquisitions reflect our continued investment in building a genuinely regional platform for our clients. Businesses operating in ASEAN increasingly require consistent, high-quality support across multiple markets,” said Thomas Chan, Regional Director (ASEAN) at Acclime.
He added that the priority is “to maintain continuity for clients while enhancing the depth and breadth of services available to them. This is about building long-term capability in key markets, not simply expanding footprint.”
Continuity for FocusCore clients, broader access for cross-border operations
For FocusCore’s existing clients, the integration delivers familiar local teams paired with a significantly larger service stack, particularly for businesses managing operations across multiple jurisdictions.
The deal positions Acclime to serve United States and global multinationals expanding into Cambodia and Laos, where regulatory complexity has historically driven demand for integrated corporate services providers.
The transition is structured to avoid disruption to existing engagements during the rebranding period.
“Joining Acclime is a natural progression for our Cambodia and Laos businesses. Our clients will continue to work with the same teams they know and trust, while gaining access to a much broader regional platform,” said Simon Bruce, Managing Director of FocusCore and P&O.
The deal reflects an accelerating consolidation push across the corporate services and outsourcing industry, where firms including TMF Group, Vistra, and Tricor have moved aggressively to bundle compliance, payroll, and entity management services across ASEAN.
As multinational clients demand fewer vendors with deeper regional coverage, integrated cross-border platforms are emerging as the dominant structure for corporate services growth in Southeast Asia.
