Aconso acquires Centric Germany to boost SAP HR capabilities

MUNICH and ESSEN, GERMANY — Aconso has acquired Centric Germany to strengthen its capabilities in SAP-based HR systems, expanding its reach in enterprise document management and compliance solutions across Europe, Keensight Capital reports.
Centric Germany is the German subsidiary of Centric Group, a major provider of IT outsourcing, managed services, and professional services, including staffing solutions that supply IT specialists and multidisciplinary teams.
The German unit focuses on professional IT consulting services and SAP system extensions, particularly in HR environments.
Backed by Keensight Capital, the acquisition brings together Centric’s SAP-focused expertise with aconso’s vendor-agnostic HR document management platform, positioning the combined entity to better serve global enterprises navigating complex HR data environments.
Strengthening SAP HR integration and compliance capabilities
Centric Germany is known for its specialization in SAP HCM and SAP SuccessFactors, delivering SAP-based HR extensions via the SAP Business Technology Platform.
The company supports more than 850 customers globally and employs over 60 professionals across Essen and Hamburg.
aconso, meanwhile, offers end-to-end document management that integrates with leading HR systems, including Workday, allowing organizations to streamline document workflows regardless of their existing HCM infrastructure.
By combining both companies’ capabilities, customers gain access to expanded tools covering document management, payroll compliance, audit readiness, and master data verification—critical functions as enterprises face increasing regulatory pressure, including compliance with GDPR.
“We’re delighted to bring together the expertise of aconso and Centric Germany,” said Ulrich Jänicke, CEO of aconso.
“This combination deepens our support for document centric HR processes and compliance across multiple HCM environments. Centric will significantly enhance our position within the SAP ecosystem and strengthen our presence in the DACH region,” Jänicke added.
Leadership continuity and growth strategy
As part of the deal, Centric Germany’s leadership will remain closely involved, with Managing Directors Jens-Peter Hess and Steven Wernike taking on senior roles within the combined organization.
“Joining aconso marks an exciting new chapter,” said Hess.
“We share a strong commitment to quality, data protection and long-term customer partnerships. By combining our SAP based document management and compliance expertise with aconso’s leading platform, we can deliver even greater value to our customers,” Hess added.
Keensight Capital, which supports aconso’s growth strategy, emphasized the broader market opportunity.
“We are proud to support aconso with this strategic acquisition,” said Stanislas de Tinguy, partner at the firm.
“aconso operates in a growing HR technology market where compliance, automation and data security are critical. This combination strengthens its market position and supports its next phase of growth,” de Tinguy added.
The acquisition reflects a broader shift in the outsourcing and HR technology sectors, where enterprises are increasingly seeking integrated solutions that combine software platforms with specialized consulting and staffing expertise.
By aligning SAP-focused services with scalable document management, aconso’s move underscores how vendors are evolving beyond standalone tools toward more comprehensive, service-enabled ecosystems—blurring the lines between software providers and outsourcing partners in a compliance-driven global market.
