ADEC Innovations acquires Kedge, Southern Ocean Carbon Company

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND — ADEC Innovations, a global provider of sustainable development solutions, has completed its acquisition of Kedge Proprietary Limited (Kedge) and Southern Ocean Carbon Company (SOCC).
The move expands ADEC’s expertise into marine assurance and sustainable aquaculture, as both Kedge and SOCC are blue economy leaders in Australasia and Oceania for vessel, mooring, and environmental protection, among others.
The World Bank defines the blue economy as the “sustainable use of ocean resources for economic growth, improved livelihoods, and jobs while preserving the health of ocean ecosystem.”
“With oceans holding nearly 97% of the Earth’s water, ensuring economy, society, and environment are mutually prosperous is critical,” said ADEC Innovations Global CEO James Donovan.
Donovan added that ADEC’s move will enable more support to industries in the over €3 billion (US$ 3.2 billion) blue economy.
Kedge and SOCC staff will join ADEC’s’ 4,000 employees across 20 countries.
