ADHA to outsource corporate IT strategy

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — The Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) plans to outsource its forthcoming corporate IT strategy.
This move aims to keep its internal teams focused on pressing governmental tasks.
Recently, ADHA contacted an external entity for an in-depth review of its ICT infrastructure, aiming for a comprehensive three-to-four-year IT plan.
A spokesperson from the agency conveyed this outsourcing effort as a strategic initiative to rejuvenate their internal corporate IT systems. They anticipate fresh perspectives and expertise from the hired entity, though actual roll-out will largely be an internal endeavor.
Key areas set for upgrade include collaboration tools, devices tailored for hybrid work scenarios, and data storage.
Moreover, the agency looks to streamline various business systems and increase the utilization of Dynamics 365 through a partnership with Microsoft.
Concluding the agency’s intent, the spokesperson added that outsourcing their internal IT systems “will help ensure that our staff [is] supported to deliver on governments’ digital health priorities as effectively as possible, now and into the future.”
