Infosys, Mental Health Foundation launches AI-powered mental health app

MELBOURNE and VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA — Mental Health foundation Australia (MHFA) is collaborating with tech services provider Infosys to introduce a mobile app, Supportive Mind, to provide immediate mental health assistance.

The AI-powered platform is created to close the accessibility gap and strengthen access to bespoke well-being solutions to people who have to combine work, school, and other responsibilities.

Bridging mental health gaps with technology

David Williams wrote in his recently published article in iTWire that based on the AI technology stack of Infosys Topaz, the platform will assist users in practicing proactive self-care, especially those who find it difficult due to busy schedules.

The initial focus of pilot programs will be on education, corporate, and community sectors, where the results of performance will be analyzed as an indicator of social impact.

MHFA Chairperson, Professor Melissa Green, has also made a statement about the app and its ability to democratize mental health claims, saying that it represents a transformative step towards inclusive well-being.

“We are thrilled to introduce Supportive Mind to the public in collaboration with Infosys. This app showcases our commitment to improving physical and mental health through innovative solutions. With Supportive Mind, users can easily incorporate well-being activities into their daily lives, helping them achieve a healthier, happier lifestyle,” Green said.

The project is one of the aspects of the company corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, which Andrew Groth, Infosys APAC Executive Vice President (EVP), pointed out which uses innovation to bring resilience to communities serving people wherever it works or lives.

“At Infosys, our purpose is to amplify human potential and create opportunities for people to thrive. We understand the critical role mental health awareness plays in building inclusive, supportive communities,” Groth stressed.

Scalable solutions for workplace and community well-being

The application will supplement the other programs that MHFA has previously established, such as certified first-aid training for employers and low-cost counseling through its Wellness Hub.

The platform also fosters a sense of shared community in the advocacy for mental health through its fundraising campaigns and walking challenges.

The involvement of Infosys means that the app will be extremely versatile and use generative AI to maximize recommendations, analyzing customer information.

As Groth says, “Our collaboration with MHFA to develop a scalable digital solution underscores our commitment to leveraging innovation to make mental health support accessible to everyone, wherever they live or work. We are excited to see this initiative drive meaningful change for individuals and communities alike.”

The partnership shares a common focus on combining technology with community-related work to create an environment that facilitates, promotes, and understands mental health.

Tech for good: CSR initiatives for the community

The collaboration between Infosys and the MHFA exemplifies the transformative potential of outsourcing partnerships in driving social good—a core focus of the Outsourcing Impact Review (OIR) 2025 by Outsource Accelerator.

It provides a platform for companies to present their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, gain industry recognition, and motivate others to follow the practice of Outsourcing for Good. OIR 2025 is now accepting nominations, and companies are encouraged to participate to raise awareness of their CSR initiatives globally.

As companies participate in these kinds of programs, they become part of a worldwide campaign to rewrite the meaning of outsourcing as an agent of change, just as how Infosys’ and MFHA’s AI-powered mental health app, Supportive Mind, underscores how outsourcing firms can integrate innovation with corporate social responsibility (CSR)—key criteria for OIR 2025’s recognition program.
