Amazon expands mental health services in U.S. through Rula partnership

WASHINGTON, UNITED STATES — Rula Health has teamed up with Amazon Health Services to increase access to virtual mental healthcare across the United States.
Through this collaboration, Amazon customers can now connect with Rula’s network of over 10,000 mental health providers, spanning more than 80 clinical specialties in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. The goal is to make it easier for users to find personalized mental health services through Amazon’s Health Condition Programs.
Amazon Health simplifies virtual care enrollment
Amazon Health launched its virtual care platform earlier this year, initially partnering with Omada Health. The program allows customers to discover and enroll in virtual care benefits offered by their employers or health plans at no extra cost.
By integrating Rula Health into the platform, Amazon expands its mental health offerings.
Customers can search for mental health support using keywords like “stress relief” or “anxiety relief.” They are then directed to providers who accept their insurance and meet their specific needs.
Rula’s services are accessible through search functions, product detail pages, and the discovery bar on Amazon’s platform.
Personalized mental health care in minutes
Rula Health emphasizes personalized care by matching patients with the best-fit provider within minutes. The company offers appointments as soon as the next day and provides essential services like 24/7 crisis support.
Its matching system considers factors such as language, race, cultural background, and treatment preferences to ensure a tailored experience for each patient. According to Rula, 97% of patients find a perfect provider match.
“Specialty care is closely connected to Rula’s core clinical belief that excellent mental healthcare starts with the right care team,” said Doug Newton, Chief Medical Officer at Rula Health. “We know how important it is for patients to work with a provider who has real depth of experience.”
Expanding psychiatry services and payer partnerships
Rula Health recently expanded its psychiatry services to 31 states and continues to grow its reach through partnerships with major payers like Optum, Cigna, Aetna, Anthem, and nearly all Blues plans. These partnerships cover over 120 million lives. Established in 2019, Rula focuses on improving access to personalized mental healthcare for individuals aged five and older.
This collaboration with Amazon aims to make mental health services more accessible and convenient for millions of Americans.
