Apple still the ‘most valuable brand’ in 2022

Apple retained its place as the world’s most valuable brand in 2022 with its value jumping by 35% to US$355 billion, according to brand valuation consultancy firm Brand Finance Global.
The annual Brand Finance Global 500 index calculates the distinctive value of a brand, separated from the overall value of the company.
Brand Finance CEO David Haigh said that “Apple commands an amazing level of brand loyalty” due to its high-quality products and innovations.
Aside from its popular phones, the company’s recent growth can also be attributed to its expansion to a wider range of services — including laptops, desktops, the AirTags, TV streaming service, and Apple Pay.
Amazon and Google took the 2nd and 3rd spots in the index with values of USD350 billion and USD263 billion, respectively.
The report also showed that the United States took the lead by far among countries with 199 companies, followed by China with 77 firms, and Japan with 31.
In earlier reports, Apple welcomed the new year as the first-ever company to reach a US$3 trillion market valuation.
