ESPOO, FINLAND—Aspia, the leading provider of technology-enabled accounting, payroll, tax, and advisory services in Sweden, has agreed to acquire Accountor Outsourcing, reinforcing its market leadership in the Nordics. The terms of the deal remain confidential.
The acquisition will make Aspia the undisputed leader in the Nordic region, combining its expertise and market-leading position in Sweden with Accountor Outsourcing’s extensive experience in Finland and other Nordic countries.
“We are thrilled to welcome Accountor Outsourcing into the Aspia family. 1+1=3 truly applies as these companies combine their strengths to create a dynamic, joint platform for growth and innovation,” said Ola Gunnarsson, CEO of Aspia.
“By combining Aspia’s expertise and market-leading position in Sweden with Accountor’s extensive experience in Finland and other regions, we become the leading player in the Nordics. We are now paving the way in the Nordics and Europe with an optimal combination of people and technology.”
Accountor to double down on software business
The divested Accountor Outsourcing subsidiaries have established a strong presence across the region over the past two decades. They are part of Accountor Group, a provider of financial administration, accounting, HR management outsourcing services, and software solutions in Northern Europe.
This strategic move will allow Accountor to focus on software solutions and strengthen its position as the top small and medium enterprise (SME) and enterprise business cloud software platform in Finland and the Nordics.
“The sale is a testament to Accountor’s strategic focus on optimizing its business portfolio and concentrating on core areas where it can deliver the most value. We believe that Aspia is the perfect home for our outsourcing business, given their reputation for excellence and commitment to client success,” said Niklas Sonkin, President and CEO of Accountor Group.
“We are immensely proud of the journey Accountor Outsourcing has undertaken, and the acquisition by Aspia is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the team.”
