Baker Tilly, Indian BPO firm Pierian Services establish joint venture

CHICAGO and BANGALORE, INDIA — Baker Tilly US, an American advisory CPA firm, has formed a joint venture with India-based Pierian Services to establish BT Pierian.
The joint venture will combine Baker Tilly’s internal service centers and third-party vendors with Pierian professionals from India to form a complementary workforce, enabling Baker Tilly to rapidly expand its service delivery capabilities.
BT Pierian is led by Deanna Merryfield, Partner and Complementary Workforce Leader.
“Leveraging outside specialized resources to get work done is a core strategy in public accounting,” said Merryfield.
BT Pierian currently employs at least 175 professionals who have joined Baker Tilly teams to tackle tax, assurance, and client accounting work, as well as other organizational projects.
Pierian Services has been serving multinational firms for over 20 years in the accounting and consulting spheres, with BT Pierian team members working in secure and segregated offices across Bangalore, Gurugram, Shivamogga, Jaipur, Chandigarh, and Chennai.
