Barisal poised to become Bangladesh’s freelancer hub
BARISAL, BANGLADESH — The city of Barisal in Bangladesh is gearing up to be a major freelancing hotspot following the recent Divisional Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) conference.
The event is committed to nurturing the city’s freelance community, attracting more than 250 job seekers and freelancers across the Barisal Division.
Prominent employers at the job fair included Ayesha Services Limited (ASL BPO), Skytech Solutions, Joy Computer Limited, Twenty Four Seven Virtual Assistants, and Jubisoft Limited. These companies engaged with potential hires and discussed the smart employment roadmap.
Barisal Divisional Commissioner Md. Amin ul Ahsan emphasized the importance of harnessing intellect and a progressive mindset in today’s smart employment landscape. He also highlighted the ongoing efforts of the government to balance conventional educational approaches with practical skill development in response to the fourth industrial revolution.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) Director Musnad Ahmed assured that CVs collected during the event would be validated and shared with BACCO’s 315 member organizations, promising employment for eligible applicants and support for skill enhancement.
In solidarity, top local officials, including Police Superintendent Wahidul Islam and City Corporation Chief Executive Officer Syed Farooq Ahmad, also pledged support for Barisal’s growing freelance community.
