BPO firms increase investment in Davao
The Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector and manufacturers in the light industries are among the highest contributors in investment in the Davao Region, as per the figures released during the Davao Investment Conference (Davao ICON) 2021 last week.
In the conference’s virtual launch, Damosa Land First Vice President and Davao ICON chairperson Ricardo F. Lagdameo said that the southern province “has become ripe for many types of investments despite the pandemic.”
Lagdameo added that the various industries in the region have thrived amid the health crisis and presented a 7.6% contraction this year, beating the 9.6% national average.
The chairperson concluded his speech emphasizing that Davao has something for a “wide array of investors” in any industry in the region.
