BPO hiring demand in India grew by 5% in September
The hiring activity in India’s Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry increased by five per cent in September, according to the Monster Employment Index.
Based on the report, the overall job posting activity saw a stable monthly growth of one per cent last month compared to August.
The printing and packaging industry led the growth in hiring activity by 11% due to the rising e-commerce activity in the country. Meanwhile, the import/export sector grew by four per cent, followed by both retail and tourism industries with two per cent each.
Monster.com’s index noted that job postings in India have improved by nine per cent year-on-year in September, showing an optimistic outlook in the labor market for the rest of the year.
Hiring demand has also increased by eight per cent in the past six months, even with the COVID-19 pandemic’s second wave in India.
