BPO openings dominate job vacancies in Davao
The majority of the job vacancies in Region 11, or Davao Region, fall under the Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) sector.
Openings in the Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) sector have taken up the majority of job vacancies offered in Region 11 or the Davao Region.
This comes as the Department of Labor and Employment in Davao Region (DOLE-11) said that they will be organizing a job fair in the city from June 10 to 11, 2022.
According to DOLE-11 Focal Person for Employment Lorraine Ugsang, over 1,300 jobs in the BPO sector are expected to open while some 350 Sales Representative/Associate positions will also be offered by local employers.
Technical support, production staff, and outbound sales representative are also among the job vacancies up for grabs. Meanwhile, nearly 2,000 vacancies overseas will be opened for healthcare workers.
Customer service, housekeeping, staff nurse, and welder jobs are also in demand by overseas employers during the job fair.
“We have been organizing mini job fairs and regular job fairs in Davao Region as support to people who have lost their jobs or feeling underemployed during the pandemic,” Ugsang said.
