BPO sector secured 1M COVID-19 vaccine jabs

Business process outsourcing (BPO) firms in the Philippines have procured one million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine through tripartite agreements with Go Negosyo and other partners, said Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) president Rey Untal.
According to Untal, the said jabs are expected to arrive in the second half of 2021. BPO employees are part of the A4 priority group, and they’re set to receive their COVID-19 vaccines next month.
“Later on, when the vaccines that we bought arrive, it can be used for dependents, or as booster shots, or even donated back to the government,” added Untal.
