Global tech firm Microsoft recently appointed Peter Maquera as the new CEO of the company’s Philippine operations.
As the new head, Maquera will be responsible for accelerating the cloud and digital transformation journey of local businesses, as well as helping the community build resilience through digital skills and empowering digital-first companies and start-ups with the tools to scale their innovation.
Maquera is a veteran of the local Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry due to his previous position as the Deputy CEO and Director of LiveIt Investments, Ayala Corporation’s holding company for outsourcing investments.
He is also currently serving as a Board of Trustee with the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP).
According to Microsoft Asia Pacific President Andrea Della Mattea, Maquera’s expertise “brings a deep understanding of growing businesses and teams, and we’re looking forward to working with him to elevate Philippines to the next level.”
