Call sector, IT-BPO industry released the most job postings amid lockdown
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, online job portal JobStreet Philippines’ country manager Philip Gioca said that the call sector, BPO, and information technology (IT)-enabled services released the most job postings amid lockdown restrictions.
The sectors comprised 41 per cent of the industries that continued to hire from March 15 to April 30. Other sectors included in the list are Government jobs (15%), Education (9%), and Banking/Financial Services (4%).
“BPOs, call centers are [the] most resilient businesses during the pandemic [be]cause they continue to move on and provide jobs for us,” Gioca said.
