Capgemini to acquire Syniti, boosting SAP data management capabilities

PARIS, FRANCE — Global technology services giant Capgemini has announced its plans to acquire Syniti, an enterprise data management software and services provider.
Terms of the deal remain confidential, but it aims to strengthen Capgemini’s ability to support its clients, particularly in the complex realm of SAP transformations, including the transition to SAP S/4HANA.
Syniti: A data management powerhouse
Syniti’s flagship product, the Syniti Knowledge Platform, is a unified, cloud-based data management platform that breaks down traditional enterprise data management silos. This SAP Endorsed App has been sold as an SAP Solution Extension under the name SAP Advanced Data Migration & Management by Syniti for nearly a decade.

The company has a team of over 1200 data-focused experts specializing in managing complex data quality, migration, and governance initiatives for some of the world’s largest companies.
Syniti’s expertise spans various sectors, including life sciences, aerospace & defense, manufacturing, consumer products & retail, and automotive.
Strengthening Capgemini’s data-driven solutions
The acquisition of Syniti is expected to improve Capgemini’s data-led solutions for clients worldwide, particularly in large-scale SAP transformations such as the move to SAP S/4HANA.
This move aligns with the strategy of Capgemini, currently ranked #5 in the OA500 2024 index of top outsourcing companies. Capgemini aims to prioritize data-driven insights and unlock further value from enterprise data, especially in the era of generative AI.
