Cebu BPO, KPO firms told to submit contingency plans

BPO and KPO firms in Cebu City have been told to submit contingency plans for their employees amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. In the city, only BPO and KPO industries have been allowed to continue operating during the general community quarantine.
However, these firms need to follow social distancing and constant disinfection in their offices. Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella said BPO and KPO firms should present a viable contingency plan, including accommodation, transportation, and food supply.
The companies are also ordered to report anyone with influenza-like illnesses immediately to the Cebu City Health Department. The city has given them until March 29 to submit the required contingency plan.
