CEBU EOC warns BPOs to allow contact tracers in

Cebu City Emergency Operations Center (EOC) warns business process outsourcing (BPO) companies in the city to be more cooperative with contact tracers, after the agency reported that some BPOs had been trying to hide that some of their workers proved positive to the virus.
Councilor and EOC Deputy Chief Implementor Joel Garganera said that although BPOs are under the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), under a public health emergency, even BPOs have to answer to the local EOC.
Garganera warned that BPO firms that refuse to be cooperative in contact tracing will be publicly named. Worse, charges can be filed against them for violating the Bayanihan Heal as One Act.
