Cebu job fair to offer 5K jobs

MANDAUE, CEBU — Nearly 5,000 jobs are set to be opened at a joint ”local and international job fair” in Mandaue City on April 29.
Organized by the Public Employment Services Office (PESO), the fair expects to have at least 33 local and four overseas participating companies for thousands of applicants.
PESO-Mandaue Head Musoline Suliva said that most participating companies seek production and mall workers, nurses, carpenters, and call center agents.
He added that the job fair is part of Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes’ promise not to leave anyone behind as the city progresses.
PESO-Mandaue holds at least four job fairs in a year. The April 29 event will be PESO’s first job fair for 2023.
The other job fairs are scheduled to happen on June 24, August 19, and October 14.
