BENGALURU, INDIA — CGI has received dual recognition in the ISG Provider Lens Global Capability Center (GCC) Services 2026 report — named a Leader in the Design and Setup quadrant and a Rising Star in Optimization and Enhancement — placements that span the full GCC lifecycle from initial buildout through operating model refinement.

According to a press release, the designations position CGI among a select group of providers recognized across multiple stages of the GCC services continuum.

Leader designation anchors dual GCC quadrant recognition

The Design and Setup designation recognizes CGI’s delivery of large-scale GCC programs with what ISG describes as speed and structural integrity, including flexible engagement models — build-operate-transfer (BOT) and joint ventures — that give enterprises alternatives to conventional  outsourcing arrangements.

Recognition in two quadrants simultaneously signals a provider with credible capability across the GCC lifecycle, not merely in the initial setup phase where most new entrants compete.

“CGI’s strength in the GCC market comes from its deep client relationships, structured approach,” said Gaurang Pagdi, Lead Analyst at ISG Provider Lens.

AI, transformation capabilities extend beyond GCC setup

CGI positions its GCC services around helping enterprises move beyond traditional shared-services constructs toward what the company describes as  AI-powered, value-driven centers.

The Rising Star designation in Optimization and Enhancement reflects recognition of CGI’s capabilities in transitioning existing GCCs — converting cost-center structures into innovation-oriented operations rather than simply managing steady-state delivery.

The company brings 94,000 consultants and professionals globally and CA$15.91 billion in fiscal 2025 revenue to its GCC engagements, a scale that supports end-to-end program delivery from strategy through operational maturity.

CGI’s dual recognition tracks the two most commercially active stages of the current GCC market: enterprises setting up new centers in India and other offshore markets, and enterprises working to elevate the performance of existing centers that have plateaued.

“CGI’s recognition as a leader by ISG reflects our ability to deliver end-to-end GCC capabilities,” said Gopal Chhetri, Senior Vice-President and GCC Business Leader, Asia Pacific Global Delivery Centers of Excellence at CGI.

For GCC enablement firms, ISG’s 2026 assessment reinforces that enterprise buyers are evaluating providers across the full lifecycle — not only on setup capability but on the demonstrated ability to transform GCCs into strategic assets post-launch.

BOT models and joint ventures, both offered by CGI, represent the commercial structures most aligned with enterprise risk appetite in markets where GCC setup carries significant capital and talent commitment.

Providers that can credibly cover both ends of the lifecycle are positioned to capture longer-term, higher-value engagements as the global GCC ecosystem continues its expansion.
