Vista Print lays off over 100 employees

MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA — Vista Print, the well-known business printing company, has recently laid off 100 staff from its Jamaican-based shared services entity.
In an interview with The Gleaner, a former employee said that members from the human resources department, design modification team, employee engagement, call center agents, and customer advocacy were part of the cut.
“The meeting was Monday evening, and by Tuesday morning, people were receiving notification not to return to work,” the employee added.
Meanwhile, a Vista Print spokesperson said that while the layoff is not an easy decision, it was necessary “to ensure Vista remains on its path to becoming the expert design and marketing partner to small businesses and to deliver on its financial commitments in light of a changing macroeconomic backdrop.
Vista Print is also expected to sell its Montego Bay office and move to a smaller space, while some of its operations have already been moved to Manoa and the Philippines.
