Cisco PH supports hybrid model in IT-BPM sector
American multinational technology conglomerate Cisco is backing the hybrid work model of the Information Technology-Business Process Management (IT-BPM) industry in the Philippines.
In a statement, Cisco PH OIC Managing Director Robin Llamas said that the flexibility that the arrangement offers ensures “business continuity, increased competitiveness, and employee productivity” in the sector.
Cisco, through its country digital acceleration program — Ugnayan2030 — plans to collaborate with industry leaders, the government, and the academe in “elevating the state of the IT-BPM industry” in the country.
Through this project, Cisco is encouraging the implementation of long-term hybrid offshoring, grounded on the following pillars — connectivity, collaboration, and cybersecurity.
Llamas stated that their goal “is to resemble an on-premises type of experience in a home setup, especially since the IT-BPM sector’s value proposition is centralized management.”
The Philippines is known as a global leader in the IT-BPM Industry. Data from the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) showed that the sector contributed $26.7 billion in revenue last year.
