CloudFactory appoints new CEO, founder transitions to chairman

NORTH CAROLINA, UNITED STATES — Artificial intelligence (AI) firm CloudFactory has appointed information technology (IT) veteran Kevin Johnston as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Johnston brings over three decades’ worth of experience in the technology industry. Prior to CloudFactory, Johnston served as Chief Operating Officer of IT service management company AgileThought for over three years. Prior to that role, he was the firm’s Chief Revenue Officer.
Johnston also held executive roles at DXC Technology, Hewlett Packard, EDS, and Capgemini.
Mark Sears, Founder and now former CEO of CloudFactory, will transition to the role of Executive Chairman.

In 2022, CloudFactory acquired Hasty, a data-centric machine learning platform. It provides users with natively built, AI-assisted automation capabilities that boost work productivity.
CloudFactory launched Accelerated Annotation in 2023, an annotation platform that merges AI-powered automation and human expertise to deliver accurate labels for images.
