Collette Health taps virtual nursing pioneer to boost care platform

INDIANA, UNITED STATES — Collette Health has partnered with Dr. Bonnie Clipper, a renowned virtual nursing expert, to enhance its unified virtual care platform.
The partnership is also designed to accelerate the adoption of best practices in virtual nursing and workforce augmentation within healthcare organizations.
Strategic partnership to elevate virtual nursing standards
Dr. Clipper, a previous Vice President (VP) of Innovation at the American Nurses Association, has spent decades participating in and refining virtual nursing models. Her experience will assist Collette Health in improving its platform, which combines virtual observation, nursing, and workforce augmentation into one package.
Two established entities are collaborating to enhance the operational and clinical practices of healthcare institutions that implement virtual nursing plans.
This joint venture is likely to create new standards of hybrid nursing models in the industry.
“Her deep understanding of the operational, clinical, and strategic considerations required for successful virtual care programs perfectly complements our mission to provide human-centered virtual nursing solutions,” said Holly Miller, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Collette Health.
“This partnership will enhance our ability to support healthcare organizations in their virtual care journey while advancing industry standards.”
Driving innovation in hybrid workforce models
Collette Health’s initiative aligns with the growing interest in hybrid nursing, which aims to alleviate workforce shortages. This business, which has expanded into virtual nursing in 2024, aims to integrate remote and bedside care teams to enhance efficiency.
The expertise of Dr. Clipper will also be useful in helping healthcare providers adopt such solutions more effectively, ensuring less burnout and better patient outcomes.
Using the educational materials provided by Dr. Clipper, such as her handbook on innovation, entitled “The Innovation Handbook: A Nurse Leader’s Guide to Transforming Nursing,” Collette Health may help healthcare organizations with the best practices when it comes to virtual care implementation and further alleviate staffing shortages.
Such partnerships will play an essential role as care takes a new form, and sustainable tech-enabled care models are established in the future.
