Comdata to generate 800 jobs in Colombia
Italy-based outsourcing company Comdata Group will reportedly hire an additional 800 employees in Colombia.
This move will take the company’s total headcount close to 9,000, making it one of the largest private-sector employers in the country.
Comdata grew into a major BPO provider in Colombia last year through its acquisition of local rival Digitex Servicios, raising the nation’s total revenue in the Latin American region to 70%.
Colombia’s BPO industry currently employs over 600,000 individuals. Despite the pandemic last year, the sector generated more than 20,000 jobs in the country.
