Commvault, Deloitte launch end-to-end cyber resilience solution

NEW JERSEY, UNITED STATES and TAGUIG, PHILIPPINES — In response to escalating cyber threats, tech firm Commvault and consultancy Deloitte have partnered to create a comprehensive cyber resilience framework.
The collaboration combines real-time data protection with strategic advisory services to help businesses prevent, contain, and recover from attacks more effectively.
From reactive to proactive cyber defense
Traditional security measures are no longer sufficient against sophisticated cyber threats, prompting a shift toward holistic resilience strategies. The Commvault-Deloitte partnership integrates AI-powered anomaly detection, incident response planning, and Cleanroom Recovery testing to help organizations prepare for potential attacks before they occur.
Alexander Coombes, Senior Director of WW Alliances at Commvault, stated that the unified platform ensures integrated visibility and intelligent recovery across hybrid IT environments.
A key feature is “minimum viability” assessment, where Deloitte identifies critical systems needed for business continuity, while Commvault’s Cloud Rewind, Clumio Backtrack, and Cleanroom Recovery allow companies to test response plans in a secure, isolated environment.
Unified platform cuts complexity, speeds recovery
Many enterprises struggle with fragmented cybersecurity tools that slow response times and complicate restoration. The new solution consolidates data protection, threat monitoring, and recovery into a single platform, leveraging both Commvault’s and Deloitte’s expertise.
“Commvault becomes the single cyber protection and recovery hub that incident response systems integrate with,” said Alexander Coombes, Director of Worldwide Alliances at Commvault. “That helps reduce complexity while covering the full cyber lifecycle,” he added.
Post-attack recovery is also streamlined, with automated tools restoring clean data from safe points. Deloitte’s incident response team then helps businesses in remediation, with limited operational disruption.
For organizations dealing with hybrid cloud, on-prem workload, and other approaches, the integration saves them from using several disconnected solutions.
New opportunities for managed service providers
The alliance provides opportunities for managed service providers (MSPs) to expand their cybersecurity services. Such co-branded services as cyber-hygiene assessments and recovery solutions can be used by MSPs in the future to provide additional value to clients.
Coombes noted that this end-to-end offering creates exciting go-to-market opportunities, though details remain under wraps as the partnership evolves.
While initially targeting large enterprises, the framework’s scalability makes it adaptable for small businesses.
